On February 1, 2024, Marisa Castelo, President of the Instituto Autor, will participate in the event organized by the Arbitration Section of Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid (ICAM) to address the resolution of audiovisual conflicts through arbitration.
The event will begin with a welcome by José Ignacio Monedero, Secretary of the Governing Board and President of the Arbitration Court of ICAM. Following that, Carlos Rosado Cobián, President of Spain Film Commission and Lawyer, Marisa Castelo, Arbitrator, Lawyer specializing in intellectual property and cultural industries, and founder of the Mediautor chamber – WIPO –; and Mercedes de Parada y Rodríguez, Lawyer and Managing Partner of LETRADOX Abogados, will discuss the resolution of audiovisual conflicts through arbitration.
In particular, the issues of audiovisual contracts and their management, prevention, and development will be addressed. They will also analyze international co-production agreements and investments in Spanish cinema, conflicts over intellectual property rights, contracts with production companies, as well as resolution through arbitration and other forms of dispute management.
The event will take place on February 1, 2024, at 4:00 pm and can be attended either in person at the ICAM Auditorium (C/ Serrano, 9) or online.
